Magnificent views of the Delaware
Beautiful old hotel with magnificent views of the Delaware River. Because of its age, bathrooms are very small but are updated. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A Hotel right out of a Steven King Novel
My wife and I enjoyed staying here all though the rooms were quite small, the hotel had an interesting feel to it. It’s about 100 year old hotel with a long list of famous patrons from its past, such as Jakie Gleason, Bob Hope, and President Eisenhower just to name a few. The hallways are decorated with old photos from its past to prove it. The big draw being its golf course which is quite nice with its views of the Delaware River and its rolling hills. But I had this over all feeling that I was staying at the hotel that was featured in the movie The Shining without the horror.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
It’s cheaper to play a round of golf during the week at $35 includig the cart as opposed to $45 during the weekend.

Old, but nice
The resort is old, but fairly well maintained. The best part of my stay was the staff! Everyone I came in contact with was extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for me.

This place is tired!
This place could be beautiful but it is not well maintained inside. First room had a non-operating lamp and TV. It had the king side bed we requested but you could not move around at all...bed too large for room. Had difficulty obtaining a different room without paying upgrade. Folks in neighboring room left in a huff when the clothes rack fell twice!
Traveler's tip
The Pocono towns are very spread apart...unlike towns in mountain states like NH and VT. But it’s beautiful country!

The staff were wonderful & very accomadating to any requests. A beautiful view of the delaware river. Great place for families.
