Better value elsewhere
The Melia Granada was the most expensive place we stayed on our recent trip to Spain, but I dont think the higher price added much value. Charges for parking and using the internet were noticeably high in comparison with other hotels we stayed in. I thought that a hotel of higher caliber would not nickel-and-dime their guests for those kinds of services, but that was not the case. The cleanliness of the room and upkeep of the hotel are both praiseworthy, but I still feel that you could probably get more for your money at another hotel in Granada.
Traveler's tip on dining
Right behind the Melia Granada, there is a street called Calle Navas that is lined with tapas bars. One in particular, called Navas 14 (presumably named for the bars address), had great deals! When we were there, you could sit outside and have a ice cold beer + tapa for 1.70 euro, and it was very tasty. But there are a ton of restaurant options on that street so it is well worth checking out!

Avoid this hotel!
We went to this hotel thinking that there were some views of the city (as per the advertising). A complete fiasco!.... suggest to avoid it.
