Great for seeing the city
I have the opportunity to visit Toronto a few times a year and I have stayed at a number of hotels. The Town Inn Suites will continue to be my first choice. Though Ive seen from other revviews that some people were unhappy with the room that they had, I could not have been more pleased with mine. Additionally, the staff could not have been more helpful. Great place on the corner across the street for coffee, breakfast, snacks; a Rabba food market is a block away.
Dont bother to use your car while in Toronto; great public transit system. Pull into the circle when checking in, park your car underground and then return the pass to the desk on your way to your room (it will save you one trip back up at checkout)

Great price, great place!
Im partial to staying at places that have a kitchen which makes breakfast/lunch/etc easier. Though the public areas could use some attention, I was very satisfied with my apt. and the Front Desk service. Nice pool and deck as well.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Very easy to get off the Gardiner, head up Jarvis, turn left on Isabella and pull into the hotels circle to register and get the passcard for the garage. No need to use your car during your stay since so much is walkable or available via subway.

Good for Price, But Not Impressed
THIS HOTEL IS IN THE GAY DISTRICT! It is older and appears to be a converted apartment building.

Town Inn
You get what you pay for. The hotel has a pool and many amenities. However, the carpet hasnt been cleaned in 10 years and the decor is about 20 years old.

Not bad
My experience is relatively limited with this hotel. Arrived at 12MN and left at 8am. First thing I saw was a lot full sign. Thankfully saw one spot still open. Not sure where other parking is but limited number of spots at lobby level altho could valet it for same cost as self park $14. Rooms typical. Nice touch was the heated ceramic tile in the bathroom. Chain on the stopper was broken in the toilet which was a pain for a few times(didnt want the hassle of someone fixing it so late - just wanted to get to bed). Overall fine hotel and would stay there again. Right off the highway. Safe location.
Traveler's tip
Entrance was a little tricky traveling on the DVP. Getting off DVP, you turn east and stay on the right hand lane for a generic hotel sign and follow arrows. Brings you to a an underpass road to the hotel.

Supposedly renovated?
The hotel description said it was newly renovated. The first room we were put into had the balcony door bolted shut, cigarette burns in the carpet (non-smoking room) and decades-old appliances. In addition, there were workers outside and above us doing renovation. We called the front desk and were relocated to an upgraded room. The balcony has peeling paint and cracks. The furniture and decor are from the 70s as are most of the appliances. There is no wired internet and the wireless (extra charge) is not consistent. Laundry facility has 3 washers and 3 dryers. Also, there is no control for room temp in the room. After adding in the internet and parking, it would actually have been cheaper to stay at a comparable weekly-stay place. I do NOT advise staying here.
Traveler's tip
Stay elsewhere. In the end, you do not save money and the frustration is not worth it.

Good accomodation
Ammenities with kitchen was great. The savings was great on the pocket book. Staff was cordial and accommodating. We drove our own vehicle, so parking was available at $18 CA a day. Pets were allowed as we brought ours with us.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If youre not driving, take advantage of the public transportation. Chinatown had excellent deals for souvenirs. Plenty of restaurants at reasonable prices, both locally and around the city.

Cant wait to go back!
I cant put in words how assisting the staff was. They went above and beyond (especially the woman who works at the front desk) to help my friend and I enjoy the city of Toronto. We were unfamiliar with the area and were given options on everything from great places to eat to clubs to go out to. We were also upgraded to fit our comfort needs. I couldnt rate a better stay! Thank you Town Inn and Suites!

Nice place at reasonable price.
This centrally located hotel provided a spacious room and nice amenities. A good value. It appears to be a converted apt building.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Public parking garages are nearby. No real need to use the hotel parking.

Absolutely horrible
Bathroom had not been cleaned, no way to change the room temperature in the room. They moved me to another room and the second room was a little better, but that is not saying much. Do not stay here.

Just excellent
I read some of the negative reviews and was a bit sceptical, so I went prepared for a fight. Was I surprised!!! What more could a person want, and for that price in downtown Toronto?! Great location, friendly and helpful staff. I was totally bowled over, and my wife was satisfied too. If you want to prepare your own meals, or eat out, this is an excellent place for you to stay. Quite heavy people may find the bed too soft but it was not a problem for me. Highly recommended.
Traveler's tip on dining
Minimarts located just across the street and eating places abound on Church St. and Yonge St. including famous fast food joints. Take a city tour, you wont regret it.

Shabby chic comfort and convenience
Town Inn Suites could use an update/makeover, but you cant fault the comfort of the well-furnished suites, the city views or the convenience. The hotels in Torontos gay district, close to a great diner and a charming coffee shop. Its also a block from Yonge St. and close to the Bloor/Yonge subway hub.
Traveler's tip on dining
Try the Church St. Diner, just a couple of blocks down from the hotel, for breakfast. Great food and attentive and thoughtful waitstaff.
