Very, very nice hotel

The Villa La Estencia was a superb hotel, and the hotel staff was absolutely outstanding. No request went unanswered. The location is within convenient walking distance of Cabsos San Lucas, the Mexican resort town with many great restaurants and shops. Two minor issues precluded us from giving the hotel a five star rating. The first was low water pressure in the shower, water dribbled from the shower head and maintenance could not make it srtonger. The other issue was when it rained, the exit road from the hotel is a natural river/steam with water flowing several inches deep and you must wade thru it or take a cab to get to town. The hotel staff even requested that if we went into town, to let them know prior to leaving. Our visit was during tropical storm Rick, thus the cirucmstances were unusual. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back, but not during hurricane season.

Avoid hurricane season (Sep-Oct).

Best Vacation Ever

Stayed here for our 20th Anniv. August 8-15. Gorgeous property; great location, across the bay from the Arch and Lovers Beach, awesome view, even at night. Very elegant but not stuffy. Friendly & helpful staff. Advantages to staying here as compared to other "hotels"; Estancia is private residences rented by the owner so grounds are for exclusive use of guests. Never felt crowded and was quiet and peaceful at night. Part of the Villa group of 3 properties so you had a choice of pools and restaurants (they are all wonderful-try the Pizza at the Palmar). One night while we were having dinner at the Palmar a Turtle came up the beach to lay her eggs, truly a once in a lifetime experience. Don’t be afraid to attend their Ownership Tour, Luis was a doll and we had a great conversation. They are not pushy and it was well worth it for the "gold card" which saves you a ton of money on excursions and meals. I highly recommend the Snorkel Trip to Cabo Pulmo, about 2 hours north of Cabo on the Sea of Cortez, beautiful! Went fishing and saw hundreds of Porpoises and jumping fish; the sea is full of life here. Beach was very nice and clean, beautiful torquise water. Pool was great and never crowded, nice swim up bar with the best hamburger I have ever had. We absolutely loved Cabo. Nice town, very clean and safe. It was hot, but worth it to go this time of year if you can stand the heat; not crowded. I really can’t wait to go back.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Carry lots of $1 & $5 for the taxi back and forth to town which is $7. They never seem to have change and it gets frustrating after a while.

Beautiful location, pools, good service and food

We had a wonderful stay....The 2 bedroom condo was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The pools were nice. Great for families.
