Clean, But Nothing Worked

The hotel at first glance was very well kept. The staff were professional and the room looked excellent. At a closer glance the shower was spraying water everywhere, the toilet would not flush, the two double beds pushed together to make a king sized bed always slipped apart through the night. The hotel also offered a shuttle to rome. The problem was that we wanted to go to the colloseum and that is what we told the driver. He dropped us off about half way there, and we had to walk roughly 2 miles more to get there even though he told us that we were almost there at the drop off point.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

See the Colloseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peters Basilica

Had a pleasant stay

We had a great time when we stayed at the Grand Hotel Tiberio in Rome. The neighborhood is a bit shabby but I found that to be true about many parts of Rome. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned everyday. There’s a small market down the street that we bought bottled water, juices and snacks. The best part was the really great breakfast, the shuttle into town, and the really nice waitress in the dining room (small dark hair) she was great and one other man at the front desk (young, tall dark complexion) other than that most of the others were rather rude. We ate all over Rome and to be honest one of the best meals we had was in the hotel’s dining room. Even though I like this hotel alot, if I go back to Rome I’d probably stay in another part of town.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use the hotel shuttle but do not forget to register everyday because it fills up fast. There’s a small market and bank machine down the street. Just remember that’s there’s alot to see in Rome and it’s hard to see everything. I liked Saint Peter’s, The Pantheron, and the Colosum the best. Best tip: use the Hop on and Hop off bus the best thing we did because there is so much walking once to get to a site that the bus is a great way to get to most of the main attrations.
