Great Find in Rincon

We stayed here for a wedding in early November and stumbled upon the "stay 2 nites get 2 nites free" offer on expedia. Great value. Our resort was comfortably small but very comfortable. Great bed, incredible beach and pool. The resturant is convenient and very good and the weekend buffet is a great deal. My only gripes are the $5.75 price for a beer and the lack of shampoo/conditioner/lotion in our room. The location was south of Rincon but just a short 10 minute drive into town. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We’ve flown directly to Aquadilla via Newark, NJ and it takes all day with the drive and flight which gets in at midnight and departs at 9am the following day. We flew into San Juan, rented a jeep and drove 2.5 hours to arrive at our hotel in time for cocktails and dinner. Returning, our flight was at 3:55 pm so we had a leaisurely morning and drive across the island. Much more enjoyable this way.

Will Not Go Back

Right when you drive in it was obvious how the stay would be: an unkept and seemingly abandoned tennis court out in the middle of the parking lot. Although the hotel seemed inviting once we got to see the front, the service was terrible. It seemed like they were understaffed. No one even offered to help us take luggage up to room after we checked in. The desk clerk was also the towel checker. The phone in the room had no directory and the hotel had no room service. The bathroom was incredibly old. I wouldn’t have minded all this is if the price I paid was half, but not for the rate they charge.

Would definately go back

This hotel and its staff was wonderful. We stayed with an infant and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff was top notch. The baby’s crib was in excellent condition and very clean. We had an ocean view over looking the pool and it was beautiful. It was off season and everyday there was some kind of maintence going on. They were painting and cleaning every day. Nothing that got in the way of our vacation though. The staff was very helpful in suggesting attractions to see in the area.

Rent a car. Hotel is off the betten path. Route 115 floods when it rains heavily but it is easy to take 402 around.

Great Out of the Way Find

If you need a few days to get away, this is the perfect hotel. Right on the beach, nice pool and jacuzzi and our room was perfect! The hotel staff very very friendly and helpful. A nice little Boutique type hotel with all the little luxuries you need for a few days. Will definitely go back

Rooms need improvement

Nice grounds and great restaurant. Rooms could use upgrading on furniture, curtains and most importantly towels. The bath towels were white at one time but they were dingy and discolored. Could have been better

Not Bad

This hotel was as I expected. I would not have been happy with the room I initially booked because it was on the ground level with little privacy. Consider upgrading to a suite. The beach is nice. You need a car if you want to go into Rincon or if you want to leave the hotel for any other purpose. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place.

Laid back and relaxing, wonderful stay

Tile floors nice (hotel carpets get nasty even when cleaned/replaced regularly). Pool and Jacuzzi facing beach, beach beautiful, gentle waves, just perfect, oh it was real sweet lying hand in hand on lawn chairs under the moon at 10pm. I would totally stay here again, especially if I can find a good deal.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We got a rental car and went sight seeing..Camuy River Caves, El Yunque Rain Forest, Old San Juan everything was 1 1/2 - 3 hours away but it was worth coming back to our hotel, we stayed Tues-Sat and it was not crowded, just real mellow.

This is not the place to stay....

This hotel is deteriorating and is not kept in decent condition. The service is also poor including the restaurant. The floor outside my room was always wet or flooded and towels are permanently placed in various places on the floor outside to control water flow and flooding. I also expect internet service in my room and the only place to go on-line is at the hotel bar. Even the lowest class hotels have internet service in the rooms. No T-Mobile cell phone service in my room. I will not stay here again. Two good options up the road are the Rincon of the Seas and the Villa Cofresi.

Lovely resort

Our family of six enjoyed this resort very much. The pool is gorgeous and the rooms comfortable. There is a very nice open air lobby. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun.

It is a fair distance from town, so we would recommend renting a car if you intend to do a lot of sightseeing.

Really nice and quite place

We are a family of 4 peaople and we went for 4 days in August. We had a really pleasent stay in Rincon Beach Hotel. The ocean view room was nice, clean and large, the beach was also very nice and quite. The service was very good and the staff kind and helpful. Very good value, I really recommend this hotel if you plan to have a vacation in Rincon Area.

After having tried local restaurants we found the restaurant of the hotel very reasonable and good. Unless you really want lots of calories, take the continental breakfast, it is a self service buffet and cheap. You need a car to explore the area which doesn’t offer many restaurants for a good dinner but you find them ok for lunch.

I would return to this hotel

Overall the hotel was very nice, beautiful location. Very nice pool. There is a restaurant at the hotel, but kind of pricey. Went out to other local areas for our meals. The hotel did have wireless service for your laptop, but it doesn’t work in your room. You needed to be at the lobby area for it to work. I would definitely stay again.

On the whole, a good hotel!

3 beautiful days - A nice relief from the mid-July heat of San Juan sightseeing. We enjoyed our stay and would come back to it again. At check-in, we were told they didn’t have the 2-bed room we reserved online. We took a king room, but once inside we heard noise from the next room through the adjoining door. We asked the front desk again, and miraculously they now gave us two 2-bed rooms to pick from. The woman who first helped us could have gone further to honor our reservation. After that, things were smooth. The room was comfortable, spacious, & fairly clean, except for several new long black hairs (not ours) in our room each day. Maybe cleaners could wear hairnets. Heard furniture moving above, because of the metal chairs & tiled floors. Wore ear plugs every night, a drag, but worked. Now compliments. The grounds were beautiful with well manicured plants, tidied beach, attractive pool overlooking the beach, the building looked good and recently painted. WiFi in the open-air lobby. Loved that the hotel didn’t play loud music in public areas, allowing guests to enjoy their own private music poolside. The beach is clean & quiet, a gentle crescent-shape. There were times when we hardly saw anyone else. Nice vegetation on beach and very calm water made the beach the star of our vacation. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good, not spectacular. Expensive but convenient. Went to local supermarkets (10 minutes drive), bought beverages for the in-room refrigerator.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Other attractions: - Drive north to Rincon (10-15 minutes) for restaurants and supplies. In July, it was like a ghost town, but we imagined a different vibe when surf’s up. - Drive south to Cabo Rojo to see the salt flat, have lunch at the beautiful Parador Bahia Salinas, and swim at the lovely beach called Playuela near the lighthouse which is popular among local sun-and-sea lovers.

Very disappointed

The hotel beach and pool were beautiful, however we were very disappointed with our room. The first night we were bit by bed bugs. We complained and besides sheets being changed nothing was done. The hotel staff didn’t seem to mind that our legs had several bites all over them. I had at least 35 bug bits. We couldn’t wait to check out after our two night stay.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

The western part of Puerto Rico is beautiful. Just make sure that you are staying at a resort will make you feel comfortable. I would not recommend this resort.

Rincon Resort in Worst Resort I’ve ever stayed in

Room was dirty. Bed was wrong. View was NOT ocean view. Looked completely different in person than the picture it portrayed online. Nothing in the room even worked; t.v., phone, toilet, etc. Customer service was terrible. When we called the front desk they would put us on hold and never come back. After being on hold for 10 minutes we finally hung up and had to go to the front desk to get answers. We checked out first thing the very next morning. Save your money and do NOT stay at this resort!!!!

Always enjoy it

I like this hotel very much. I have known it for over 7 yrs now and usually stay twice a yr. Its beautiful setting, nice food and coziness make this small hotel one of my favorite lodgings in Puerto Rico.

Traveler's tip on dining

There are plenty of restaurants close to the hotel in road 115 with cheaper prices and local food.

As advertised

The Rincon Beach hotel is as advertised - the beach is quiet and gorgeous and the hotel has the all basic amenties you are looking for. Our saty was for 5 days and was very relaxing. Teh restaurant food was great -expensive for an everyday meal but occasional was right on. Complimentary coffee in the morning helps-right outside teh restaurant. The pool is small -can get crowded but worked for us. Drinks are excellent just expensive but we were not surprised by that. The rooms had all the comforts except Internet. Free wireless in the lobby is fine but there is a computer in the hotel for use. Rincon itself is real small hidden so you get local folks and local flavor but few tourists. San Juan is far so keep that in mind

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

buy groceries at the Econo in Rincon -small fridge in room will store basics.

The resort was fantastic. The staff was friendly. I loved the Kayak competition. The buffet breakfast was great. The beach was beautiful. It is a family resort. We will definitely go back.

Traveler's tip on dining

El Bambina restaurant in Rincon had delicious food and a trip to the lighthouse is a nice destination.

Fabulous Stay

This resort is by far underated should be a 5 star. The staff was excellent the rooms were clean and the pool and beach were stunning. Never crowded and always had lounge chairs and privacy. Anything we needed done was done on the spot. All staff spoke english and extremely friendly. Most definitely need a rental car as resort is off the beaten path. We did not eat at the restaurant as it was a bit to pricey. No in room coffee however coffee was available in lobby area every morning (best coffee I’ve ever had) Overall if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the sun you must stay here.

Rincon Beach Resort. Just perfect for us.

Very nice facility, for me (and wife & 16 yr old son) it was a perfect balance of casual feel yet very tidy and well-run. Everything was just right. Wasn’t "stuck up" yet wasn’t "honky tonk" either. it was really nice, clean beautiful yet simple. Beach was plenty roomy, yet it was easy to be sociable with anyone you chose. I really can’t find anything bad to say about the resort, except no wi-fi in room, just lobby area only. Even when rain leaked a bit through ceiling on top floor, they found us a new room right at busy Easter weekend. I’d most definitely go back there!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Fly to Aguadilla and rent a car; we used Charlie car rental, resort is half hour away. Try the local restaurants and bars (Remember Tamboo!). Save resort’s restaurant for when you’re tired; it’s very good, but a little pricey. Snorkel nearby near lighthouse.

Nice!!

I live in Puerto Rico, but in San Juan area. My boyfriend and I want to relax in this part of the island. The hotel was nice, empty and no noise, just perfect for our getaway. The breakfast as amazing and cheap. The best customer service was at the restaurant. We enjoy the pool and the walk in the beach. We were the only people from Puerto Rico beside the employees there.
