Great convenience Great / Mediocre comfort and amenities
Ariston is right next to the Termini station making it very convenient for getting in from the airport (there is a train that gets you to the station directly from the airport). There are a number of bus tours to nearby towns (Naples and Pompeii for example) that are based nearby as well. The rooms are small and the showers are tight even for a smaller person but they are clean and well kept. There is a significant amount of variability in the types of room based on which floor you are on from traditional to more modern. The concierge desk was courteous and helpful with reservations at local restaurants though you will likely have to pick some in advance (recommend using trip advisor). Breakfast which was included with the room ran from 6:45 till 10:30am - it consisted of a variety of options so should suit everyones tastes. The one downside was the gym - it only opened at 9:00 am and closed early in the evening so if you are out touring during the day as we were, it may be hard to make time for it.

Good for overnight
The hotel had a great lobby area with a great staff. We only stay there for the night before our flight home. The room look old -clean though- and did not match the decor of the lobby at all. Was easy walking to the train station and it had an elevator. Take their airport "limo", which it wasnt a limo, but it was worth it. The staff gave us a great trattoria recommendation.
Traveler's tip on dining
Try Ceccios restaurant. Affordable prices, great food, but most of all, great staff. It is a small family owned restaurant on the street behind our hotel. Multi-lingual family.

Good for the price
Nice hotel for the price, convenient location near the train station. They did a good job arranging transportation for us. WiFi service was a bit spotty and the bar downstairs was very understocked. Actually stayed there 2 different nights, before and after a cruise. Room on the first night was very small (not like the pictures on the website), but on our return we were put in a much better room with a window that faced the street. Good value for the price.
