Loved this hotel!
Only criticism was a wake up call every morning when we specifically asked to not be wakened up!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Buy an Oyster Card at the Tube (subway) and put 10-15 GB on it. Allows you to use as a debit card for all subway and buses. Saves searching for the correct change each time. Easy to top up (refill) at all subway stations, convenience stores, etc.

Will DEFINITELY come back, HIGHLY IMPRESSED!!
Best kept secret in London. Hidden away in the old city of London. Every type of transportation is located within steps of the hotel entrance, Bank tube station, bus, taxi, even hop-on-hop-off bus located by St Pauls Cathedral. Walking distance to Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Staff was very helpful and accomodating. Monika is the best! Must visit Martin, manager of the bar. Very knowledgable of wines and spirits. No spirit in America will compare to the high class spirits that inhabit this bar. Even the house spirits are what we Americans think as high quality. Food is very good. Cant say anything bad about this hotel and its highly proffessional staff. Another plus is that the internet is complimentary. One more thing, my husband has a bad back, which is why I picked a 5 star hotel, he never woke up with a back ache. Bed was very comfortable.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you are coming from an area that has a big time difference (we came from Calif, 8 hours difference), prepare yourself ahead of time for the adjustment. Sleep with the curtains open so you dont oversleep. Take advantage of wake-up calls to get your day started. Definitely plan your sightseeing trips ahead of time. Some tours only happen on the weekends so plan accordingly. Its easy to see a 20 pound note as a 20 dollar bill so be careful. (20# is really about 36 USD).

Great place to stay, great location.
We stayed at the hotel for a long holiday weekend following a business trip. We loved the hotel and the location. It is very quiet in the business district on the weekend. With its proximity to the Bank tube station, we were able to get anywhere in London we wanted to go. The hotel is in a historic building, but everything inside is new. I look forward to staying there again.
