Not the best neighborhood
I had requested a hotel near Houston Int’l Airport and ended up at this 3rd-rate La Quinta which was miles from the airport. Expedia provided limited data in the itinerary on where this hotel was (we had to stop at another hotel to get the correct address). The hotel was rundown and the clientele somewhat questionable. I do not recommend this hotel.

Be sure to check Expedia itinerary to make sure it contains all the pertinent information (like addresses and phone numbers of hotels!!)

Good value for the price
I stay in the Houston area on a routine basis and tried this hotel for the first time. I found no shortcomings with the room or service and the price was much better than equivalent hotels I have stayed in.

Bang for the Buck
Nicely maintained motel that was just right for my family of 4. Quiet room, clean, 2 blks from Gulf of Mexico and lots of restaurants. Stay away from Tortuga Mexican Cuisine...terrible drinks, service, and food. No nicotine smell in non-smoking, 2-queen size bed, bedroom. Great place to spend the night before taking a cruise. No shuttle service.
No shuttle. Receptionist will get you a taxi. Two adults and two teenagers with lots of luggage took a 10 minute taxi mini-van to cruise terminal for $20.00.
