beauty and history and glamour
The arched, beautifully painted ceilings in the large lobby with an exciting cosmopolitan buzz of activity all around, gives the hotel an atmosphere that sets it apart. The pictures of the celebrities all around the hallways is a fun touch that reminds you of the Palmer House’s glamourous past. The gilding may be just slightly fading but only enough to give it an historical air, like the small imperfections on an older piece of furniture--it just enhances the patina.

Great Trip
Our family had a great experience. We got to the hotel early and they were able to accomodate us. They even upgraded us to another room that was more comfortable for a little more than what a rollaway was going to cost. The localtion was excellent. We were able to either walk or take a bus to our locations within a few minutes. You do have to pay for parking (unless you get a package with it in already), but we had planned on leaving our car there anyway so we wouldn’t pay for parking elsewhere. You do have to pay for internet use, but we already had our own access.
