Nothing fancy but clean and with good rates. Nice and quiet stay.

Needs improvement.
I think the cleaning staff was having an off week? Two of three lamps were missing light bulbs. There were no towels nor coffee pack the first night. The old coffee filter/pack from the last guest was left in the pot. And the TV remote was missing. But then, some hotel guest are pigs!

We were travling on business, this hotel was just what we needed
Super 8 Hempstead is only a mile or so from town. Owners and staff were very attentive, helpful, knew the area, met our every need... Lovely people. Excellent restaurant in town, great Mexican Food, Denny’s just down the road. Lovely old architexture in town and in Brenham which is an easy drive. Easy drive to Houston. Had a great stay
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Plan ahead with Expedia, we were in Hempstead in the middle of a 3,000+ mile business trip... Wonderful to drive in, take your stuff in and you are home, maybe even better(we do not have a pool at home), home for several days. Staff and Owners can direct you to things you would not find on your own. Wonderful weather, don’t think the Super 8 people arranged that, but who ever really knows
