Horrible
I have used expedia many times and never been disappointed. This time i was thoroughly appalled with the accommodations. They were in a basement with the only window looking into an underground garage. Outside our room was a hallway with a leaky ceiling. There were barking dogs that kept us up at night. I would NEVER stay there again.

Not impressed with facility or staff
Hotel is in poor overall condition. Elevator not working, rooms and furnishings in run down condition. Internet access not as advertised. Staff not helpful. There are nicer and less expensive places to stay in Juneau. I will not stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

service not impressive
The location of the Prospector was very convenient because it was within walking distance of downtown Juneau. The State Museum was also across the street. However, there were pigeons in the walls in our closet that made noise (and smelled). Additionally, a toothbrush and body lotion mysteriously disappeared from our room. We were without a coffee maker our first day even though we told the front desk when we checked in that our room was without one and our room was never supplied with shampoo the whole 11 days we were there. I would say that for the price of the room it was less than stellar.
Traveler's tip on dining
The hotel does have a fine restaurant.
