Cozy affordable place to stay...
...I think simplicity best describes this older hotel, seemed clean and spacious and comfortable, was pet friendly (even got a discount), the breakfast was not to brag about but the diner next door compensates..staff were courteous and efficient, w probably go there again on our next visit to Vernon (visited friends nearby), concensus of reviews are way off base and only serve to bring down the rating..give it a shot if you are in the area.
....not a luxury resort by any means, but a quaint cozy short stay place if you are looking to stay in the local Vernon area. I would rate this a 21/2 star, not a 1!

Okay as a place to sleep
This is an older hotel and it shows, even though they say they have recently upgraded it. Positives are a good rate and big rooms. Primary negative is a continental breakfast that is by far the worst (and smallest) I have ever seen, we had no choice but to get breakfast elsewhere. Recommended only on the basis of rate, if you are looking for a good quality two-star hotel look elsewhere.

Cheap place to stay
Not sure if it was because of dark colored stairs or carpets, the exterior and interior looked not impressed. Maybe because we got there in late night.
