Catalonia Giralda Hotel
The Catalonia Giralda Hotel, built in 1967 and renovated in 2004, is located right in the historic and shopping centre of Seville , in Andalusia region. The hotel's name comes from one of Seville's main monuments, the Giralda Tower, which is just a few minutes walking distance of the Catalonia Giralda hotel. The Cathedral, the Casa Pilatos and the María Luisa Park as well as the Santa Justa train station are also located in close vicinity. On-site amenities include free wireless Internet access , two restaurants, a bar and meeting and banqueting facilities.

Bad service
Upon arrival they didn’t have our expedia booking and wouldn’t let us use their computers to verify it. Had to buy their 8 euro/hour wireless service. Phone in the room didn’t work. After three trips down to desk they send a service person who couldn’t fix it. Went back to desk and they wouldn’t let me use their phone, had to get change for pay phone in lobby.

Do Not Stay Here
I just returned from Spain last night (4/30/07). For the price, this was the most incredibly disappointing hotel I have ever stayed at. The room looked like a worn out college dorm, the bathroom had an odd smell, and the bed was horribly uncomfortable. I spent as much time as possible away from my room throughout my entire stay. All staff I encountered were also quite rude and unhelpful. Avoid at all cost.

Not bad, not great
The Catalonia Giralda is a good enough hotel to stay in. The staff was friendly and helpful. My single room was small but clean and well-kept. (The shower had good water pressure which is always a plus). Breakfast was more varied than I’ve seen at most hotels. I have no major complaints about this hotel.
