Clean and nicely furnished, but too noisy to permit sleeping
While in a great location, and nicely furnished, and clean, this hotel should only be considered if sleep is an option for the guest. We were kept from sleeping at all during our one night stay by constant noise from 10PM to 6AM by groups hanging around in the alley below who were arguing, breaking bottles, fighting, etc. It never let up! We wont return.

Great location but no AC
If you want to experience Temple Bar district, this is a great location being just at the beginning of the main Temple Bar street / pedestrian walk. The room was actually larger than many rooms Ive stayed in europe (more toward U.S. than Euro standards). There is no A/C - so check the expected temperatures carefully. We lucked out - it was a Very Cool July - and the hotel did supply a fan upon our request. Clean accomodations and spacious bathroom - although the room wasnt sorted During our stay. A block from the river but no view. Fairly priced.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Book an on-off-on tour bus. No real subway system, and cabs are expensive.

No luxury at Temple Bar
While nicely situated in the Temple Bar area of Dublin not far from the river, the hotel of the same name is low on amenities and weak on service. You have to request a washcloth from the desk, the lift didnt work for a couple of hours, breakfast in the cafe was bad and poorly served. The room was small and plain, lacking a clock radio and soap. The front desk was friendly and efficient, but everything else about the place was meagre and disappointing. And for a pretty hefty room rate.
