Eden Design Hotel
* Room interior wasn’t nice/quality design * Very basic,no closet, no counter or anything to put suitcases. * pillow cases didn’t feel clean. * Only 1 shampoo, 1 body wash; no handsoap or refill for a double room and stay of 3 nights * Cramped little room, next to construction site; very noisy * Reception staff unfriendly and charged many items we didn’t use, e.g. minibar charges (we didn’t even have a mini bar in the room), breakfast charges ( never knew there was a breakfast room), wine (again; never had any)...it was a pain to get the charges deleted from the bill. *Staff always seemed to be annoyed and bothered when you asked for info/service.

the only good thing is that this hotel is on walking distance of the maastricht central station. other than that; it’s outragous this hotel charges such high roomrates, considering the bad service and lousy rooms. this is not a child-friendly hotel and it is too basic for business people.

Good Value and Nice Retreat for Leisure
I stayed at this hotel for business in early December 2008. The hotel was in a nice location in the city center. You can walk to shops, bars and restaurants. There is a little casino a few steps away. We stayed on a Sunday night and the parking was free on the street until 8am. Then we paid the meter the evening before for a few Euros. Internet was available but I did not use it. Decent exercise place for a European hotel. My hotel room was on the street and it was relatively loud outside until about 2am and then there was some construction that started early. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Nice service. I would stay there again for a good rate or on leisure. The hotel is set-up as a romantic getaway; many couples staying at the hotel. My business partner’s room had a siloutte of a naked women above his bed; mine was a a city scene. In my particular room; there was not a desk. Shower and bathroom were clean and adequate. If I return to Maastricht, I would strongly consider staying here again.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Park on the street in front of the hotel and pay the meter. It is much cheaper than the central parking and closer.

Trendy hotel near train station
Very friendly people with hotel close to train station and city center, all in walking distance. Rooms nicely decorated (trendy and colorful) but small and without airconditioning. Pets not allowed, although they made an exception for our small dog as this was mentioned in our reservation. Would stay there again if dogs were allowed!
