The internet pictures show it as it is.
The room was clean, beautiful, great location,and at a great price. The staff were most helpful and pleasant. The view from the room over looking the river was the best. the only thing I could hope would be fixed was the ability to print from the loby provided computers. I would definitly go back.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Use the city cats on the river for getting around only $5 per day. Also take the suttle bus to and from the airport only $14 each way.

Quiet, clean room.
Stayed at the Marque a few nights in June 2009. Very clean and quiet room considering the busy area. Within walking distance to many shops and excellent places to eat. Also, within walking distance to Mirimar river boat which takes you to the Lone Pine Koala Santuary.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We took the Croc Bus (booked though Grey Line Tours) to the Australia Zoo. Over an hour drive to get there, but video entertainment provided. The zoo is a must see!

Very Dark
We stayed in the Marque for one night only and upon arriving were very disappointed with our "Executive Suite" which was really one room with two beds and a tiny shower room. We went straight out, and when we returned it was dark and we put the lights on. In that electric light the room was at least clean and presentable, it seemed like they had redecorated but it was a shame that the original dark and scratched cupboards were there and a very old tv. We realised that the initial impression had been quite so bad as the room was extremely dark during daylight and this wasn’t helped by the very thick "net" curtains. There was also no extra lock on the door and it did feel a bit insecure. Having said all this the staff were excellent, friendly, extremely helpful and pleasant, and the location was great. I would stay for a night again but not longer.
