Quiet luxury
The Schlossberg hotel is a luxurious hotel at the edge of the busy center of Graz.It is between the funicular to the top of the Schlossberg and the lift and stairs to the same. The rooms have a comfortable antique feel while the bathrooms are modern and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are heavenly. I have stayed in rooms in the front of the hotel overlooking the street to the river, and rooms looking back into the quiet garden. Both have their distinct attractions. The breakfast is comprehensive and quite simply excellent. The staff are excellent, too, and importantly for me they all speak excellent English.
Traveler's tip on dining
Graz is a World Heritage site, and the view of the red roofs from the top of the Schlossberg is wonderful. The restaurant at the top of the elevator is excellent and offers a modern glass-walled dining room, or al fresco dining from an excellent menu.

pleasant and very well situated
The hotel is in a good shape, the terraces present a wonderful view over the city of graz and the service was discreet and friendly.
Traveler's tip on shopping
graz is a most pleasant shopping city also compared to much larger cities. the typical high quality textiles can be fould there and the service is so, that alterations are made within a day.
