Very convenient to both downtown Palo Alto and to Stanford.

Great Location

This hotel is the perfect location to The Horse Park at Woodside and Stanford University. Room is comfortable and Starbucks coffee available in your room. Downside is this hotel backs up to the light rail system and charge for self-parking per night.

Sheraton Palo Alto - needs investment

I was surprised with the tired nature of this hotel. In such an affluent part of the world, the hotel is old and tired. Time for the Sheraton group to spend some money bringing this property up-to-date.

Extra Fees

Charge $10 for parking everyday and also $10 for internet, which is too much !

Can’t wait to go back

Good hotel. My only complaint was the pillows were not comfortable.

Great place to stay in Palo Alto

The hotel was very clean and the service was great. Had a problem with my shower and the engineer came to fix it promptly. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Wonderfiul Hotel

This our second stay and we enjoyed it both times. Its’ a great place to stay and it is close to Stanford University and downtown Palo Alto.

Wonderful! Beautiful hotel and rooms. This is where we will stay everytime we visit San Francisco.

Great hotel, very clean, great pool for kids and lounging area for adults while kids swim. About 30 miles from San Francisco. Easy on and off of the 101 freeway.

We loved it...

Our stay in the Sheraton in Palo Alto was wonderful. The location is perfect for walks to Stanford, shops, cafes, etc. and the friendly staff worked hard to make us feel welcome. Secure parking is also a big plus. My only complaint was a $10.00 per day fee to use the hotel’s internet services. I only use WiFi about 20 minutes per day, so as an add-on expense, the ten dollar fee seemed excessive. I didn’t run into that in any other hotels in the Bay Area.

A great place to stay when visiting Stanford Univ.

Very convenient.

Hotel is within walking distance of Stanford, Palo Alto, some great restaurants, shopping and Whole Foods. Also, it’s right across the street from the CalTran Station - so easy access to San Fransisco. There wasn’t a mention of a fee to park though (or I missed it), so that threw me. Otherwise, very comfortable place - super helpful staff.

Standard Sheraton. Comfortable, clean, conveniently located to Stanford and to downtown Palo Alto.

Rooms on backside adjoin commuter rail tracks, but noise is not excessive. Extra charge for parking.

Party at the pool~

We were there to take my grandson to Stamford Hospital early in the morning. There were two parties going on in the pool area that kept us awake until two AM. It made for a very difficult early morning departure everyone was very tired. This is the fisrt negative review or experience I have ever noted, but think that hotel staff could have put us in a quieter room since they were well aware of the paties booked for that night.

best location for Stanford visit

I have stayed at the Sheraton at least 6 times. Adjacent to its back parking lot is the CalTrain station and a stop for the Stanford Marguerite shuttle. It is also close enough to walk onto campus. There are some shops and dining options walking distance to the Town & Country center. I rented a car the first time I visited. After that, I took the train from the airport as often as I had someone pick me up. The train station next to the hotel allowed for trips into San Francisco, either all the way by train, or switching to BART at Milbrae. The Sheraton is also walking distance to downtown Palo Alto where there are a number of restaurants to choose.

Horrible service and LOUD Parties on the weekend, Broken equipment.

Most of the computers in the business center were broke except one, There were numerous parties going on till 2:00am in the morning, Front Desk service was horrible, Keys to the room kept de-programing, Security gates only work sometimes so you have to call the front desk from your car. They will tell you to park and then walk all the way back to the front desk to re-program the gate. No vending machines and the resturante service was horrible. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Do not live up to it’s reputation at all ..

I would not recommend this hotel to any one .. we have been given the worset location of a room possiable .. we had a choice of either a room that’s on the first floor that is next to the fitness center and overview the parking lot or a room on the 4th floor with same veiw and right next to the vending mechine and the elevator, as the pepole goes up and down in the elevator so dose the room we stayed in !!! even the Complimentary toiletries that should be available in each room was not there you have to ask for it, and when i did i had to wait for an hour !!! it was a very bad experience , so inconvenient and so not worth the money ..

Great to sit by the pool. My room had been upgraded quite recently but the carpet in the hall should be changed.

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel and the hospitality and service has not lost a step. I am looking forward to my next visit there in 2 years!

Great location, sheraton quality

This is a great hotel for a stay near Stanford. You cannot beat the location - you can walk to both Stanford and Palo Alto. It is an older hotel without some of the ’frills’ you find at other Sheratons, but it is well-maintained, clean and comfortable. We have stayed here twice, and will continue to do so on visits to Palo Alto as long as the rates are reasonable.
