Not bad for what you paid for
Overall, the quality of service, comfort and cleaniness appears to be appropriate for what was charged. I didn’t stay for the free buffet breakfast so I can’t comment, but from what I saw, the food appears to be consistent with European continental breakfast (cold cuts, eggs, juice, bread/rolls, cheese, yogart, coffee and tea). It’s "free" so can’t complaint. Location is great - 5 min walk to central train station. Though, the restaurant downstairs can be quite loud, but it closes at midnight. The bathroom did emit a foul smell from the sewer. While the hotel is near the "red light district," I did not feel unsafe and there were no gypsies, which is common in Rome and other European capitals.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you don’t have a lot of luggage, take the s8 or s9 from the airport to central Frankfurt. The hotel is only a 5 min walk. Frankfurt is managable by subway so no need to take a cab.

great hotel, near everything, clean and courteous
What a great hotel, near the Hauptbanhof (main train station), evening/night life activities, the downtown and shopping areas, and with a friendly staff and nice-sized rooms.
