Great Hotel on the Beach!
Grand Hotel Continental is one of many hotels in this area, but is hands down the best. The staff is friendly, the location is good, and everything is top quality. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Hotel in Tirrenia!
Staying at the Grand Hotel Continental was fantastic! The hotel was very clean, the staff was multi-lingual (English, German, Italian) and very friendly. The buffet breakfast included the standard European fare as well as American offerings. This hotel is a short drive from the Pisa airport and would be my 1st choice when visiting again.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Across the street from the hotel are a number of "street vendors" who set up shop in the afternoons. Remember to negotiate with them on pricing. Also, understand that Italian sizing is much different that USA sizing. If you wear an XL t-shirt in the USA, an Italian 2XL shirt will be equivalent but even a bit smaller.

Worked with Kids
The Grand Hotel Continental gives you access to a beachfront setting and a very fun beach town. It is a bit "tired" if you choose to look at every detail, but the overall feel and service at the hotel is fine. Across the street is a great park with a "high ropes course" called Monkey Adventure Park that allows all to try zip lines and climbing challenges from a reasonable fee. My 10 year old loved it!
