not the place to stay
i was incredibly disappointed...to the point that i booked another hotel on my own that night and did not even stay at the St. Parc....the concierge was dramatic and gave us an earful about how dangerous the town was....i knew better since i had been to NOLA before....i would say, overall, it was ridiculous and i wish i could get my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is a killer Cuban restaurant around the corner from the Sheraton off of Canal...very good. and the locals go to Frenchmen street to the Spotted Cat and the Snug Harbor for some of the best, most intimate music in town.

Vallet Service Could Have Been Better
The location of the hotel was great. The hotel was 5 blocks from our restauraunt and about 5 blocks from Bourbon St. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent as well as the view from the room. I would say that overall the hotel was very good. Their vallet service, however, was very poor. When we checked into the hotel, the lady at the front desk told us that we should allow 30 mins. for our car to get to the hotel because the vallet service also services 5 other hotels. The next day we called the hotel to take our car out of vallet 20 mins. before we got back to the hotel so we would not have to wait very long. When we got back to the hotel we checked with the lady at the front desk to make sure she had called for our car and then sat down to wait. After 20 mins of waiting, there was still no car! So, I asked the lady to check on the satus of our car because we had to be somewhere. When she called the vallet service and asked about our car, the guy told her that our car was still parked! Needless to say, our car was an hour late getting to the hotel and the vallet guy did NOT get a tip!
