close to shopping
There were 2 bathrobes in room but one of them was used one !!! It was still wetting from previous guest !!!!!!!!! I didn’t call house keeping because my husband doesn’t use.

Good but not great
It was their busy day, all rooms are sold out. We can’t get room with 2 beds, instead we just get a cot.

Always a bit disappointing!
My wife and I have stayed at the Empress 3 times now, and the expectations are never quite met. The hotel and grounds are beautiful outside, but the rooms always leave something to be desired. The staff too are good within their specific element, but anything outside of the norm seems to baffle them. The rooms are a bit small. Our room was not well cleaned. We put fresh flowers in our room and we never offered a vase for the flowers despite them being in the room for several days. The curry lounge downstairs is magnificent. Thugh a bit spendy, well worh every penny.
