Not impressed
When we arrived and were given our room key cards, we went to our room and it had not been cleaned, we mentioned this to the housekeeper on that floor and she just shrugged her shoulders. We went back to the lobby and got another room,we noticed in the elevator the floor was very dirty. The room was OK, however the bed was so uncomfortable and no extra pillows anywhere. Next morning in the elevator noticed the floor was still dirty. We have stayed at various hotels in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area and this one is not satisfactory.

Smelly, noisy, dirty! Terribly surprised to be so uncomfortable.
The room smelled, maybe because of the huge pail full of garbage left under the sink. It was removed after I discovered it, but the room still smelled. The windows were not locked (I was a woman traveling alone) and the curtain on one window ended 3 inches above where the window ended. I used some towels in the gap. The worst problem was when the people above me took their morning showers at 3:55 a.m. It was so loud it woke me up, sounding like it was in my room! The desk clerk admitted that it was a real problem since the remodel. As I checked out, she said that she would ask the manager to call me. He never did.
