It was OK. Disaapointed we didnt get a room in the Castle.
Location was good. Service was fair. They didnt go out of their way to do anything extra. When we asked to use the business center they said they would be right over to open it but did not come. When we did get a key we still couldnt get in and never did.

Drab and plain
We were very excited to saty in a real castle. The building is impressive. The room was a nice sized mini-suite, but the walls were plain white with no pictures. The interior was in the middle of a new paint job throughout, which was badly needed. All available amenities are at the hotel, which is a short walk from the castle. The castle bar is only used for private parties, so do not expect to relax down there. Walking through the halls was a neat experience, as they wind up and down. The hotel pool was great, as was dinner. All in all, there are better castles to experience. Unfortunatley, many are seasonal, so we had to settle for Airth this time.
Traveler's tip on dining
Purchase the dinner with your room. It is excellent, and a bit of a bargain compared to a la carte dining.
