What a surprise!
We were really delighted and surprised, as we hadn’t expected such a nice room. It was looking more like a suite actually, with a first large corridor containing a sofa, table and 2 windows. Then another corridor to the room. Very clean and well furnished modern bathroom. The other thing we liked was the spa, which was of great standard with 2 jaccuzis, sauna and hammam. We would rate both the room as 5 stars rather than 4. Rest of the hotel was excellent, but nothing so special to mention. Oh, and it’s in main market and 3-4 minutes walk from the station. Still, the place is very quiet, likle the whole village is in fact.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The ascension to the Gornergrat by train is a must. The ticket seems costy, but you won’t regret.
