Excellent: food, people, beach, pool, events. Good: rooms, service. Medium: access road, street signs, unable to provide bottle opener!! Services overload when 3/4 full

Good hotel for the price
I recently stayed at the Oasis Caona Resort. The hotel was really nice. Lots of Europeans stayed at this resort. Not many Americans, but that didn’t both us. Food was good, not too much night life, but the pool and beach were great. Plenty of beach chairs, no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a chair. Service was just okay. Seemed to cater to the Italians. Drinks were really good, lots of "vitamin R" (rum). I’d definitely return.
Traveler's tip on dining
Get to the restaurants early for dinner. If you go when they open, you won’t have a problem getting seated right away. If you wait, chance are you’ll have to wait for a table and it could be a while.

Don’t Go there
I went back to this hotel because I loved it the first time when it was part of Coral by Hilton. The service was extremely poor, the room was dirty and average, the food was ok and God forbid you want to do some snorkeling. They charge a $25 deposit just to borrow it even though it’s free. The unit does not cost that much. They don’t have a bar in the beach and the staff was horrendoes, please don’t waste your money and don’t go there.
