Not Impressed at a ll
Very convenient to Sixth Street, but the hotel is pretty run down for a 4-star hotel. Bed is very uncomfortable, room is mediocre. The Hyatt at the Lake (a short cab ride away) is a much better hotel to stay in.

Omni Security Tougher Than Fort Knox
Upon arrival I was informed that I was not allowed to have guests in my room. I understand their goal of a peaceful stay, but seems a bit ridiculous to have a uniformed police officer by the elevators and not to allow even one friend up when paying extreme prices. Also when I got back to my room Friday night I noticed there was no remote for the flat screen tv so I called the desk and they said the technician wasnt on duty. Not sure how that is relevant. They did bring me a remote upon request the following day. The staff was very friendly and overall I had a nice stay.
Traveler's tip
Dont stay here if you have friends and want to invite them up for a quiet drink. The hotel will not allow anyone in the rooms after 10:00 p.m. that is not on the room.

Great Hotel - Awful Restaurant
I loved this hotel, perfect location, the staff was helpful and friendly, the room was beautifu but the bathroom just didnt have enough light, like showering in a dark closest. Also, breakfast in the hotel was expensive and not very good. I think even though we ordered off the menu they just gave us almost cold food off buffet - yuck.Worst coffee ever and $3.50/cup!.Tip: stay at this hotel but go around the block and eat at famous old landmark hotel and drink at their bar.
Traveler's tip on dining
There is a Tappas Bar restaurant nearby called Louis and it is so good - dont miss it.
