This was rated a 4-star hotel. Considering its amenities, I would give it three stars. Additionally, wireless Internet was 15 euro for 24 hours while in many other places, it is free. Would recommend only conditionally.

Rooms very uncomfortable . . .
Let me start by saying staff and cleanliness were very good. The location is great. However, the room was small and the bed and pillows were the most uncomfortable I think I have ever slept on. It was also listed as a Bed and Breakfast in Expedia. Breakfast was 10 for cold breakfast and 15 for hot breakfast. Because of its location, just a couple of blocks down the street were dozens of coffee cafes and neat pub’ish type eateries. Choose that over the one served in the hotels -- trust me!!

Not a friendly experience
On the one hand, Pembroke lacked the professional courtesy of a hotel and on the other, lacked the warmth and friendliness of a B&B. We felt like we were bothering the man at the front desk when we asked for directions, etc. The room itself was fine. All in all, it felt a bit like a motel with a nice lobby.
