A cheap, clean room.

If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere, but for a place to shower, sleep and keep your stuff while you hike around the mountains and Dahlonega, it’s the best bargain. There’s a McDonalds next door, for cheap eats too.

Acceptable in a rush

Room 226 was clean, bed comfortable, but you will stare at non-professionally applied (or cheap at best)textured ceiling with large patches that had fallen off, but never replaced...just painted over the bare spots....very unsightly. You would never do this in your home. And, the so called "breakfast" was a multi colored cereal, a few cookies, off brand milk from a gallon jug purchased from a local store, and one gallon of off brand orange juice made from concentrate, also in its original container from the store, and both kept in a small refrigerater under the counter..I’ve been in a lot of motels in my career with breakfast included in the room rate, and this was, by far, the cheapest, skimpiest, most un-sanitary method of service to the motel guests I have ever experienced. So, if you gotta stay there because of price or convenience, then go to McDonald’s next door for breakfast!!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Dahlonega is a must see country town during the summer weekends, especially during special events such as the 4th of July, and festivals such as "Gold Rush Days"....Old court house on the square is ringed with antigue shops, candy stores, ice cream parlor, shops, places to eat, music jams, trees, benches, visitor center with rest rooms, etc. and all within walking distance.

OVERALL GOOD VALUE

The room was not dirty or bug infested like another we stayed at in the area. There was a maintenance issue with the lamp in the room. The cord had been cut and then taped with electrical tape. The tape had fallen off and the wires were exposed. I unplugged the lamp and did not use it. Room and pool were clean, breakfast was basic but tasty.

A good place to stay in a good location

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a short stay(1 night) but we were glad it was available when we needed it!

Traveler's tip on shopping

Very close to center of town.

Hotels are near regional hospital...

If you are a light sleeper, from the country, or not used to sirens in the night, good luck! Many of the hotels in town are located in this neighborhood. Breakfast consisted of Raisin Bran, Fruit Loops, Orange Juice, Coffee, Milk, Bannana Muffin, Blueberry Muffin (sometimes), and mini honey buns. McD’s is next door. Attendant was friendly and housekeeping was good.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Georgia had a free day at their state parks and historic places. It made the gold museum a real find for us. It may be worth while for a family to check on this if your dates are flexible. This hotel saved us money compared to the other hotels in the area.

if you’re looking for a cheap/clean room, I would recommend this hotel. Room was comfortable and check in/out were very easy, clean grounds, ok pool...for the price I’ve stayed in worst.

Not bad for the price!

The hotel was fairly clean for the price of the room. The breakfast was not worth bothering, go to the McDonalds next door instead.

Mediocre at best

Bathroom kinda moldy for there’s no fan. You’ll get a nights sleep but it’s not the ritz.

I would suggest looking into bed and breakfasts in the area if you want a better experience of Dahlonega.

For the price and the quality of the room, I’d go back in a second!

Great place to stay for the price! We had a king-sized room. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious, clean and included refrigerator, microwave and hair dryer. We were looking for a cheaper place to stay but wanted a few comforts and we found it with this motel. The staff is not overly friendly but for the price and the quality of the room you get, that was acceptable. The water in the shower did suddenly get cold each time we took a shower but if you’d wait a few minutes, you’d have hot water again. If you’re prepared, that’s helpful. It would not be enough for us not to go back to stay. And you’re only 2 blocks away from the heart of Dahlonega. You could walk but for at least 1 block from the hotel, that’s safe. The hotel’s on a hill, off 1 of the main roads going through Dahlonega. Very busy road and no sidewalk for that 1 block.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Dahlonega’s a lot like Helen, Ga. only smaller and it’s mostly everything you’ve seen before at other tourist ciities, such as Gatlinburg. However, we’ve gone back a few times and love the small town feel and the notstalgia. You can walk to everything you want to see about town. And you’re about 25 miles away from Helen and Dawsonville. Dawsonville has a great outlet mall! Everything you could think of and includes a lot of shops that you don’t ordinarily see at your typical outlet malls.

Will not return

Although the service was good the maintanence and cleanliness were awful. The ceiling in the room was nasty. It had leaked and was just sort of covered up. The towels were not clean. The sheets were not clean. The state of the furniture was just ok.

Not impressed

The customer service was not good. We had to go to the front desk to get our towels, they charged us for a night they were not supposed to, the made us move rooms while I was in the middle of getting ready..

Clean & Comfortable: Great shower heads!

The hotel was a great place to stay at resonable prices. A microwave and refrigerator in the room was a pleasant surprise. The shower head was a massage-head and the water pressure was strong. We were very satisfied!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Just down the street from 24 hour Walmart.
