Find a different hotel

Not impressed. From the time we checked in we were disappointed with this hotel. The lock initialy would not work on the door we thought someone was in the room. We spoke to the desk and he went to the room and swiped the card and threw his shoulder into the door and said see no one was in there just a little sticky. Once the door was opened we noticed there was no catch for the locking mechanism just an empty hole in the door jam. The next day housekeeping stopped by while we were out to confiscate the three towels we were alloted and never replaced them. We had to ask the front desk for another allotment of sandpaper towels. Find a different hotel!

Not too impressed

This is a decent place, but not great, to stay when you have a flight the next morning. I was a little scared of the neighborhood, and the room seemed a little outdated. For the money, it was just average.

We arrived late and left early, but your hotel was easy to find, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed.

No problem with the hotel

I went to San Antonio for 2 days and 1 night.. per me if you are going for one night or if for more days and major time during day you will be out, then only for night stay this motel is not at all bad. Yeah if you want to have some pool activity or want to have a scenic view out of your window then dont expect good quality.. You will get what you paid.. This low cost motel is good for night stay where you come at night and check out next morning.

Wireless Service Problem

I have problems with the wireless conection service, I have to ask the username and password 3 times in two days becouse it fails; the problem was that one night I cannot connect and the help desk is closed at 11 PM , I think help desk has to be opened 24/7. I live in Mexico and I need to check my mial daily this is the reason that I prefer that hotel becuse they offer the wireless service and the main point of my preference fails.

It is an ok hotel for the price. Keep in mind it is a Super 8 not a five star.

Good hotel for the price and location

Close to many shopping areas, airport, and dining. Older hotel that has had some updates. Not bad for the price.

What do you expect from a Super 8?

This hotel was inexpensive, convenient to Fiesta Texas and Sea World, and just blocks from the airport. That said, we only heard the jets a couple of times in our room, not loud. The pool needed cleaning - too many dead bugs in it. The free breakfast was nothing to crow about, but it was filling and FREE.

Ok for a night but scary

The hotel was adequate in terms of facility and cleanliness. However we had not been there 1 hour when we had 2 different people tell us that we needed to take all our bags to our room and not park in the back half of the lot because there had been several recent "smash and grabs" in autos parked in the lot. To add to this..our flight left very early so I went out to the car at 4 am..there were 2 guys walking between cars..they saw me..got in their car and left...to say they looked suspicious was an understatement.

OK for a night but park near the front and put your bags and valuables in your rooms.

The hotel was just fine for the price.It maybe was a little difficult to get to with the road construction all over the city.Would stay there again.

Super 8 San Antonio

We reserved 2 rooms for my husband and our 4 children. They were able to accomodate our room being next to theirs. Hallways smelled smoky but the linens were fresh and clean every night. The pool was small and tasted like salt but we enjoyed it very close to everything. Get to breakfast early if you want something other than toast. Very nice manager George I think. We would stay again saved enough money to hit all of our destinations. Fridges and safes in both rooms. I was pleasantly surprised.

sea world-study the show guide, print in advance if possible. You will miss some othrwise.-great! alamo-go early it’s cooler riverwalk-boat is great! Hard Rock-Awesome! Schlitterbahn-Awesome!

I will NEVER come back!

There was the most terrible experience I ever had! I knew is just a Motel, but the experience was horrible! I asked for a smoking room, but my room was an ashtray! The smell was insupportable! And they don`t have another option for me! So...I had to sleep with that unbearable odor all nigh long. I never take off my shoes because I didn`t feel the confidence with the carpet!

Room and Hallway have stale odor!

Room is in a good location for me and my business travels. OK for the price, but my room and hallway had a bad odor, which was not pleasant. For that fact, I would pay a little more and stay somewhere else a little nicer the next time I am in San Antonio.

Clean but can be better

It’s a clean hotel, but the breakfast is very simple, I prefer breakfast in others hotels but this hotel is in a good place. The only problem thah we have is the security box and the organisation in the loby. But it’s OK.

In overrall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I would totally recommend this hotel to anybody who likes a clean and affordable hotel.

OK stay, but location is not great

OK stay, but location is not great. Kind of noisy with the airport and highway near by. For another 10-15 dollars more you can get a much nicer placer closer to town, i think.

Would stay again

The hotel suited our purposes. It was centrally located near the airport. All the construction makes for crazy travel but the hotel was easy to find if you are familiar with Texas streets and the neat turnarounds. The continental breakfast was ok; go early for the best selection. Room was good. Nice to have a refrigerator and microwave for kids.

Room ok...hotel stinks

Room was fine and pretty clean. However, I had to hold my breath in the hallways--especilly the stairways. The smell of stale unkempt stench was repuslive. The only break from it was when I walked past the AC unit at the hallway end--but even then it was recirculated, cold stink. It’s hard to hold your breath while walking up 2 flights of stairs.

get a room closer to an exit.
