Only if necesary
I went to this hotel because I was short of money and needed something close to the UAB. I guess for the money I paid it is aceptable, but if you can afford spending 20$ more, go to another place. And specially, if you are not smoker and there is not non-smoker room, be prepared for the worse...

Would not stay again.
The lobby and the hallway to our room smelled of cigarette smoke. It was fine when we got to our room, though. The room smelled musty and needs to be done over. We only stayed there the night, but if we had stayed any longer, we would have chosen another hotel. We would not stay there again.

nice for the price
clean room, friendly service. with a refrigerator, microwave and high speed wireless internet in the room as well as the usual amenities and then add a very friendly and helpful staff. you can’t beat it for the price

Pretty Decent...
So I read the other reviews before I stayed here, and I was afraid to give this place a shot. But I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The room and hotel were very clean and roomy. Wireless Internet...in a decent location. I’m not sure what people expect when they stay here...but for what you pay, you actually get a lot. Unfortunately....I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less in other places. I liked this place. I would stay here again.

Horrible
Very pushy personnel. Clerk called room at 1050am to make sure I was checking out at 11am, when I had previously requested a late checkout. Cleaning lady knocked on door at 9am, and then twice more even after I nicely told her we would be out much later. Spider webs in corners of the room, even saw a spider crawling on the wall. Area around the hotel looked desolate, not much to do. Hotel is horrible, you get what you pay for, and it was a very cheap rate.
