Very Impressed
This is second year in a row to visit the area. A year ago, we stayed in a competitor’s motel, south of the river, that at one time was a top of the line facility, but no longer. Name still there, but run down. This year it was a completely different story. Everything was TOP Notch. Great Continental breakfast, with a large variety, to suit everyone. We will be back, for sure.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Be sure to visit the A to Z stores just north of Alma. They are a "Must See" place to visit. We made most of our Christmas shopping in one stop.

Welcoming and Comfortable

A good place to stay
The good: large, comfortable bed, excellent wi-fi connection, good water pressure and heat, nice selection of channels on tv, courtious staff, indoor pool is excellent. The bad: the window would not open for fresh air, room temperature seemed to be extreme cold or just warm, the shower head was coming loose at the wall, towels were not very soft Overall: nice place to stay, with just a few maintenance and comfort issues, but I have always been overall satisfied with Super8 as my stay of choice.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
It is a 13 mile drive to Ft Smith, so dont wait too late to decide to go out and dont get too intoxicated for the drive back. I did not see any sign of a nightlife in Van Buren at all. However, for a good place to hang out, Roosters seems like a very good choice.
