Super 8 Motel - Santa Fe

Confortable room, and clean. Close to Downtown Santa Fe. The only bad things was that some parts are under construction, and it looks a bit dirty on open areas.

Not impressed.

Hotel was undergoing a renovation. There was paint all over the carpet and portions of carpet ripped out. Room doors have seen better years and mattress was lumpy. Got a cheap rate so it was appropriate only for one night stay.

Satisfied, but.....!

The hotel is conveniently located & was very clean. Our only issue was that the AC died while we were out on the third day of our stay & we had to be moved to another room. The night manager did not offer any help whatsoever with tranferring our things nor was he at all responsive in offering any sort of discount/compensation for the inconvenience which I felt was appropriate under the circumstances & considering the length of our stay (4 days). We had stayed in this hotel on a previous visit to the area to visit family w/no inconveniences & were satisfied.

Far better than the chain name leads you to believe.

This is an exceptional Super Eight. Very clean, well appointed, friendly staff. We were just there overnight, while we were doing business of buying a home in the area, so we figured...won’t be TOO bad. But, it was VERY nice. As nice as the Marriott we ended up in later in the week.

Everything about Santa Fe is marvelous. Plan to stay awhile and see it all. History, arts, community, fun, nighlife...has it all.

Santa Fe Super 8

We stayed for a few days, and basically just used the hotel as a place to sleep and change clothes. For that, Super 8 is a good chain. Nothing fancy--no kitchenette, no pool. It’s in a good location (~10 minutes from downtown), near good shopping (Jackalope) and food (Potrillos).

Nothing Special

There was nothing special about this hotel, but it served its purpose. I had a clean room, and for the price you really can’t beat that. Breakfast was just OK...juice, coffee, cereal, and bread products.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Great service for the price.

I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for an economical room.

Try Bumble Bee’s Restaurant which is only a couple of blocks away. Several restaurants within walking distance of hotel.

Cheap Hotel

You can find a much better hotel for the same price and closer to Santa Fe. Recepcionist were not very helpful.

The front office staff were kind, and helpful. Local restaraunts had great food, and the plaza was a few minutes by car.

The Plaza was a fun, ineresting place to visit for walking, shopping, tasting local foods, & making new friends, absolutely teriffic!!

Cheap and Clean, But A Bit Run Down

The room was clean and well-prepared by the staff, and the bathroom fixtures were updated, but the structure, carpet, and bedspreads were worn and stained. I have to admit this brought my mood down a bit. I always check for bedbugs and there were none. It was quiet, but mainly because few guests were staying there. Low cost and cleanliness were a 5 out of 5, but don’t expect cheery and new. I recommend this on the condition that your primary concern is saving money.

The Blue Corn Cafe & Brewery is a couple of blocks away, which has fresh beer and good food. The IPA and the stout were both very good, and the spicing of the food was excellent: flavorful with just enough heat. Cerillos Rd is a commercial/shopping area, so there is pretty much anything you need within a short drive.

Affordable, convenient, comfortable and perfect for a short stay

It is well located with major stores and restaurants around the area. Only three miles away downtown. Service was very effective and quick. I do not have a single complaint about this hotel. I’d love to go back on summer to appreciate this beautiful town, and I will definitely take advantage of this affordable and comfortable hotel.

Everything was clean and tidy, and the beds were firm and comfortable. The folks at the front desk were courteous and helpful.

Super 8 is only 5 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. There is shopping nearby and food places from fastfood to sit down and enjoy resturants. Would stay there again!

Clerk was very nice.

I checked in and did not need anything else. So my stay was a quiet one.

A clean and well managed hotel

When we arrived, our reservation was pulled and waiting on us. The reception was efficient and done in a short amount of time. The hotel grounds, parking area and guest areas are clean and well maintained. We were very satisfied with the room and the service.

This hotel is conveniently located, it takes about 15 minutes to the ’Old Town’ and there are many good places to eat and shop nearby.

Reasonable price, good value, friendly staff. Definitely will return.

Clean Rooms

When we stay in Santa Fe, we usually stay at the Super 8. Our reservations are always accepted, the staff friendly, the rooms clean. I like that there is a computer available for use so that boarding passes can be printed, email checked, etc.

Tortilla Flat has the best breakfast burritos and is pretty close. It is just a short drive to many other eateries.

Very Convenient Location

This hotel was located on a major highway and convenient to both Taos and Albuquerque (both about 45 minutes away). The continental breakfast was primarily donuts, toast, and juice but everything was so clean. I have already recommended the hotel to a friend who will be traveling next week.

Visit the artisans near the Palace of the Governors. I purchased beautiful tourquoise for much less than the stores. And - it was interesting to talk to the people who made the jewelry. Do not miss the Taos Pueblo - also very good shopping as well as an extremely interesting site.

Decent Inexpensive Accomodation

Very ordinary. However, the room was clean, a bit small, but adequate. The breakfast offered minimum selection. The location on a major thoughfare made it easy to get around the city.

The location allows one to have access to shopping, The Plaza, good restaurants, Opera, and gambling.
