Very disappointed
Generally the overall cleanliness of the motel were unsatisfactory. The carpet appeared to have not been vacuumed in quite some time. The bedspreads were stained and there were no fitted sheets on the bed. The beds themselves were sprung and uncomfortable. The shower and the commode both ran constantly which was both annoying and a waste of water. The restaurant section was torn out of the telephone book and the recepticle into which the alarm clock was plugged was hanging from the wall with exposed wires. We will never stay at another Super 8 Motel again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The only attraction in the area was South of the Border; an overrated tourist trap. If I want to pay $3,000.00 for a German beer stein I will go to Germany. The premiere restaurant in the area was a Shoneys. Even the locals told us if you wanted to find anything to do in the evening you had to drive at least 30 miles an any direction. This could be a nice little town with a bit of civic pride applied in the right places.

Carpet was dirty. Hotel was older and somewhat run down. The clerk hung around outside smoking and talking to someone outside for quite a while. Seemed a little unprofessional.

below average rooms, very loud heat and ac unit makes it hard to get a good sleep.
