Perfect for a stopover!
We were doing a road trip across the US and this place was perfect for a stopover, as Amarillo did not look like a place you would want to stay for anymore than a stopover! It is close to the ramp from the I40 and if you are travelling from the west, it is very easy to miss as it is hidden on the north side of the interstate, behind the north side ramp. we did not realise that the clock had moved on an hour and therefore turned up very late for breakfast but the receptionist was so accomodating - they also extended our check out time due to the same mistake - lovely staff.

Just fine for a night.
We weren’t expecting anything extravagant so we had nothing to be disappointed with. The room was clean, service was adequate, continental breakfast was good and most importantly (when staying in Texas) the air conditioner blew COLD! Recommended if you just need a clean, quiet place to spend the night while road tripping.

Decent, quiet place
Not a bad older hotel, off I-40. Hard to access if traveling eastbound, but that’s more to blame on the people who designed those crazy turn lanes for the frontage roads in Amarillo. Hotel is quiet despite proximity to the freeway. The morning breakfast is good for a free one. The staff was helpful, but didn’t need them a whole lot. The AC in the room was powerful beyond belief, so watch how you use it. It’ll get cold in a hurry.
