THE BEST VACATION I HAVE EVER HAD
All have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Dominican people and their beautiful country. We were upgraded to a much better resort upon arrival to extra cost to us. The food at all the different restaurants and buffets was spectacular, the beaches were crystal clear. Resort was clean and quiet and the service was second to none. We are planning another trip next year.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
negotiate the prices of anything you are buying and also the excursions. Everything there is negotiable. Speaking a little spanish certainly helps but not necessary.

Loved it!
When we arrived we were bumped up to the jr. suites without even asking. Our room was beautiful. The food was great. The beach was wonderful. I loved it! I heard from people who were not in the jr suites that the regular rooms were moldy and nasty but we did not experience that. They didnt give us clean sheets after our first night unless we left a note stating we wanted clean sheets (with a small tip). Knowing spanish helps. Workers spoke little English

Not impressed
Was disappointed with the language barrier with the hotel staff. We have taken several trips to Mexico and it seems that they are better versed with the english language. We were also dissapointed with the lack of higher quality alcohol- we had to pay $5 to get Kahlua or a drink with Baileys...very disappointing after paying for an all-inclusive trip. The vodka was pretty much the equivalent of Mr. Boston...ICK... Several parts of our trip were very dissapointing- We will not return!!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Do yourself a favor and upgrade to a suite because the regular rooms are gross. Very dated and our smelled like mold....really awful.
