Enjoyable stay
It is a Hyatt vacation rental and what it means is that it is not your regular hotel. They offer 1 and 2 bedroom condominium units. I stayed at a 2 bedroom/2bathroom condo with a fully-equipped kitchen, balcony and living room. Rooms are very comfortable and good in size. Also the decor is very nice (mountain lodge oriented). Bathrooms are really specious and modern. I was very satisfied with this property. They also offer concierge service and daily continental breakfast (starbucks coffee, tazo tea, some fruits, cereal, milk, yogurt, egs, bagels, English muffin) selection is very limited nevertheless, it is a very nice touch and really comes handy if you are not a big breakfast eater and just want to grab a morning snack! Hyatt Mountain Lodge also has 1 large heated swimming pool and 3 hot tubs (they differ in size and have separate tubs for adults, kids and families) they are nicely appointed and maintained very well! Parking in Beaver Creek is very tight; however, Hyatt offers complimentary, underground heated parking so that is another nice touch! The only 2 things that kind of did not meet my expectations were the fact that lobby is only open from 8:00am till 10:00pm and distance to the lifts. Make sure you know what to do in case you arrive after 10:00pm because you won t find any staff on duty! Also walk to the lifts is not the easiest (you have to climb up several stair sets and escalators and walk for quite awhile in your ski shoes and carrying skis or board!).
Traveler's tip on dining
Across the street from the property (next to the skate ring) there is a restaurant/bar called Dusty Boots. They offer a happy hour from 2:00pm till 5:00pm and you can get a nice portion of food (several selections) with a beer for $5 It is a really good deal and bargain in Beaver Creek (everything is very expensive). Also by staying at the Hyatt Lodge you can use Park Hyatt amenities like swimming pools, hot tubs, gym, etc!
