Nice amenities for the price!

Booked this hotel bundled with airfare and car rental, so the nightly rate was extremely reasonable. Indoor pool and free continental breakfast (with waffle maker), and free parking included. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator and microwave. Free freshly baked cookies were available in the lobby in the evening! Close to downtown Kalispell and convenient to the airport and Glacier National Park. Restaurants and stores nearby. A great deal!

Nice hotel, but some problems

Room AC thermostat was not working right. Business center had only one computer, and was super slow and limited. Room was nice, nice TV and other stuff. $9/day parking.

Nice place to stay

Very pleasant hotel - the only negative was a family next door was a little noisy but overall I enjoyed the hotel.

Extremely impressed

This was way better than we expected, the bed was outstanding including the linen so much that we want to order the pillows for our own personnel use. The room was very large, the free breakfast was very extensive to include belgian waffles and we even had use of the hotel computer and internet to get our boarding passes! Can’t say enough!!!!!!

Traveler's tip on dining

Barley’s Restaurant right down the road was very good and reasonable and open late.

Not as great as expected

This was a nice hotel but had several drawbacks. It is next to a recycling center, so we woke up early if we left the windows open, or as on the first night, the curtains are not "black out" so we woke up by the sun. The hot tub was too hot (we’ve stayed in many places and used the hot tubs) and the jets were lame. The complimentary breakfast was poor at best, the waffles were constantly sticking to the iron and there was very little else to choose from. On a positive note - the staff was very friendly and upgraded us to great room when we requested a room change.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

This is a little far to use as a base camp for Glacier. I would recommend 1st and 3rd nights here and a middle night on the east side of the park. Also, be sure to check out Big Fork - it’s a great little town - you need to turn off the main road to get to the city center.

Overall Positive

This hotel is located off of US2 and is easily missed unless you’re really looking for it. Not a far drive from the airport. The section of town it is in is not the best. We drove around a little and found Hwy93 to be better but more expensive too, I’m sure. It’s 35 miles to Glacier National Park which is the reason we went. The drive got old but we loved our first trip to Glacier and would like to go back. The continental breakfast at the hotel was fair at best. The rooms were noisy but no more than most hotels we’ve stayed in. The hotel was clean and overall it was a positive experience..We’d stay there again

Okay

The first room I was assigned reeked of smoke despite being a non-smoking hotel. They did reassign another room that was much better though with little trouble. The second room had trash in under the sink and dishes in the dishwasher but was much better overall. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Overall a decent place to stay.

When in Kalispell stay here

I was very comfortable in your hotel. It was clean and the staff friendly. The couple of extra requests I had were met with smiles and instantly taken care of. I will stay there again when I am in town.

Great experience

The hotel was very clean and our room was well kept. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. The bathroom looked spotless and we had plenty of towels. The pool and hot tub were well managed and enjoyable. Applebees and Wal-Mart are within walking distance and 30 miles from Glacier National Park. The staff was great! We missed the breakfast one morning and a staff member offered to get us a few things if we would like to eat. We declined but the fact that she was willing to do that was awesome. There are exits/entrances all over the hotel that are accessible with your room key. That was great because we didn’t have to walk through the lobby and down the hall to our room every day. The only thing I could complain about was the weight room had very old equipment and the walls were a little thin. My husband and I plan to go back to kalispell and stay in this hotel again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There aren’t many resturants in the area so expect to drive a lot if you don’t want fast food or Applebee’s every night.

close enough and quiet

La Quinta in kalispell is close enough to the main street and is a quiet restful lodge. We enjoyed the simple continental breakfast in the morning and the late 1pm checkout. Staff was pleasant, but the halways need to be cleaned a bit more often.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Way too many little casinos throughout the town.

Just okay.

Not a bad place just not enough attention to detail. For instance, the microwave in the room was missing the carrousel. The pool was closed and they have taken out the sauna. The sauna was actually why I wanted to stay there.

Family Ski Trip

We were very pleased with our stay yet again at the La Quinta. There were several of us staying there and commuting to Big Mountain. The breakfast has expanded since our last stay and was enjoyed by all. Having this breakfast available got us on the mountain quicker each morning. The pool was a little cool but the kids didn’t seem to mind a bit. Again we would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Great Stay at La Quinta Kalispell

Once again we stayed at the La Quinta - we find ourselves returning to this motel for it’s cleanliness, friendly staff, and good upkeep. We have never been disappointed with our stay here. In fact we hope to return soon with our family to take in some ski-ing and shopping. Thank you

Enjoyed out stay

We were very pleased with the La Quinta. It was very clean and welcoming. We also enjoyed the pool which is open 24 hours. The continental breakfast was also satisfying, and it made the mornings less rushed.

Comfortable place to stay

The continental breakfast was substantial and well-stocked. Although the rooms did not have pay-per-view movies, we could borrow a movie from the front desk. Wish the room had been vacuumed during our five-day stay.

Traveler's tip on dining

The Belton Chalet restaurant in West Glacier is fantastic! We had elk and it was wonderful.

Best Hotel

WE stayed at the La Quinta July 25th thru August 1st 2008. It was the best looking hotel in kalispell and the surrounding towns. Our room was great and breakfast was too. It was in a perfect location and a beautiful 25 minute drive to Glacier National park. When we go back to montana in the near future we will definetly be saying at the La Quinta.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Glacier National park was great we went all seven days of our trip.

Spartan room

This is a no-frills hotel -- low quality towels, old blurry TV, spartan furniture. On the good side, bed was OK, room was clean.

it all worked out well...front desk help was great!

the suite was so nice with extra room & kitchenette. it was clean (likely not used too often) housekeeping could not seem to understand we needed 2 washcloths ( & not just 1); the front desk graciously took care of every need. we had great sleep & wonderful breakfast!!! we would return, if in area again. :)

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

a very common problem-locating the hotel!! a tree BLOCKS the sign; when near, use cell & they easily directed us where to turn.

Very comfortable

The service was great, the rooms were clean and without irritating odors, which is important to me ,an asthmatic. It was an enjoyable stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We visited the Conrad Museum , parks and local music events, besides traveling to the National Park every day.

A nice pet-friendly hotel

Located on the road to Glacier National Park, this La Quinta Inn was a comfortable place to stay for the two days we were in the area. There was a sufficient pet area away from the main entrance and a separate entrance for us to use if we chose to. Our suite had a small kitchenette, 2 tvs, and a divided bathroom area. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We didn’t eat the breakfast so i can’t comment on that.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you have a chance go to Montana and visit Glacier Park. It is absolutely gorgeous! We were there in the fall with the Aspens turning Gold amid the evergreens. Unfortunately an early snow kept us from seeing as much of the park as we wanted--the roads were closed!! October is a bit late for this area.

Great hotel for the money spent on room.

Hotel staff was very frienly and helpful and friendly. Room was clean and adequate in size.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

We went to Glacier National Park. Hotel only 35 mules to entrance to the park and a very pretty drive to the West entrance of the park. The room was great and it’s cost was very moderate. Nice pool, and breakfast was very good. Woud definitely stay there again.
