Affordable in the off season...
I travel to Erie every 3-4 weeks for work purposes and NEVER stay over in the summer, this and very other hotel in the area gouge people in the summer. Its Erie....not NYC. I stay here in the winter - very nice, clean and affordable.

Nice for the Price
We had a nice stay, everything about the place was first class. The only problem we encountered was when we were trying to check out. We were meeting some friends to go fishing and we needed to leave early. There was no one at the front desk from about 5:45 to 6:15. We ended up just leaving the key cards at the front desk.
From mid-October to mid-November the "steelhead" run up the feeder streams to Lake Erie. When the weather turns cool and starts raining the fishing is unreal. 25 to 30 inch trout are the norm. Just be prepared to fish shoulder to shoulder with other people. It helps if you are there with friends.
