Good location, would stay again, but...
Nice hotel with good service, but when you make the reservation, be sure that you will be in the main hotel and not the annex, unless you want to walk up many narrow stairs. We switched rooms to the hotel, but it was not easy, availability wise. Good location within walking distance to St. Mark’s with many shops and restaurants along the way.

Would definitely go again
The Santa Marina Hotel was wonderful! The rooms were lovely, nicely appointed, comfortable beds, good bathroom. The hotel is right on a canal, with a private dock that you can take a water taxi to and from- much easier than lugging bags through Venice streets! Our room looked right out on the canal. Breakfast was very decent, pastery, fruit, yogurt, great coffee. The staff was very nice and spoke English. What a find!

The best choice
Very well located, between San Marco square and Rialto bridge, got a good price through Expedia.com. The breakfast is very good and the staff is friendly. The only odd thing is that our room was in another building across the square, but that’s how things work in Venice!
