Good value for walk to downtown Aspen

Front desk person was remarkably friendly, personable, considerate, helpful, effective and efficient. Breakfast isn’t a notable amenity not only because of the offerrings but also because of the personnel. Room is small but comfortable. Ambience is somewhat rustic, but pleasant.

Just a run-of-the mill Hotel

Nothing horrible, nothing great, just a hotel. Parking is very tight, and places around the hotel are 2 hour only. The hotel did give us a 24 hour pass for these spots. The free breakfast had the least choices that I’ve seen. No omelettes, fix your own waffle, fruit and cereal. That’s it...

Wonderful Autumn Experience

One of the best times we had, hot tub by pool, outstanding. If you want a great fall hike go 10 miles up Castle Creek to the American Lake trail (just 1/2 mile past Elk Mountain Lodge). It takes 5 hours with drive from aspen and climbs some 2,000 ft (not sure exactly but it is a challenge).
