Cant wait to go back
I like the location. Also right next to a store. Right next to the bus stop to La Thuile. Which is a great ski area. The same bus also serves the local hot springs that is in the area and also the train station. And it is right next to the Courmayeur cable way. It is a short walk to downtown. The have an area in the downtown that is only for walking. No cars allowed. Courmayeur is not as busy as Chamonix.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Take the bus to La Thuile. The snow is better than Courmayeur. But dress for the wind. It is a windy place sometimes. But it keeps the snow in good shape. I ski up to 80 days a year.

Decent hotel with a nice view of the nearby mountains
Although the main lodge, which housed the restaurant and bar and was at the street level of the town, was far from fully occupied, we were assigned a room in another building which was about 100 yards away and a bit of a hike up a steep hill to the main lodge or the town. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included but was only fair and the coffee was just warm no matter how mant times they brought us a new pot. As a result, we never had dinner there. The room was a decent size, nicely maintained, typical of a ski lodge and the deck, with views of the surrounding mountains, was pleasant to sit on and take in the scenery. The hotels location was convenient to the shops and restaurants in town. All in all, we would stay there again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
We thoroughly enjoyed dinner (within walking distance of the hotel) at the Ristorante Cadran Solaire in town. Dont miss the cable car ride up Mount Blanc.
