Great hotel, perfect location
I was extremely pleased with the Savannah Doubletree. The location is absolutely perfect. Situated along Bay Street in the front, it is a short block from the River Street area of shops and restaurants. Walking out the back of the hotel, you are immediately in beautiful Franklin Square and the start of the City Market area. This was so convenient because after a long day of sightseeing, it was great to walk half a block and be immersed in the culture and arts of City Market, with its galleries, pubs, quaint shops and restaurants. On our next trip to Savannah, we hope to take advantage of more of the Doubletree’s amenities; however, I can tell you that our room was very clean and comfortable, the housekeeping staff was extremely friendly and even left us special treats each day, and the front desk staff was quite helpful. We ordered room service our first night and found it to be delicious and VERY reasonably priced. The only negative that some may find with this Doubletree, which was not a problem for us, is that valet parking is encouraged. It is $10 per night and well worth it as parking is difficult to find in the historic district. The valets were also very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Savannah, and we can’t wait to stay there again!
We traveled to Savannah in late October so we could spend Halloween in the "Most Haunted City in America". It was the absolute perfect time of the year. Nothing was too crowded at all. In fact, Tybee Island was practically deserted, but it was 85 degrees and sunny! Perfect beach weather! At night, the temperature was in the mid-60s with a nice breeze that made our strolls around Savannah so enjoyable. Also, the vast array of costumes we saw on Halloween were hilarious. We had our pictures taken with all sorts of characters, and everyone was so friendly and ready to have fun. There’s also something about taking a haunted ghost tour through historic Savannah around Halloween. It makes the trip even more entertaining! We will definitely be traveling back to Savannah next October!

Nice hotel Nice people (parking issue)
I enjoyed the stay but, when I checked in the room did not have king bed as requested, but the queen was confortable. Upon checking out, looking over my vehicle after being parked in the valet for 4 days, the vehicle had be backed into a wall leaving deep scratches on the bumper. Made a report and it was taken care of.

MUST GO BACK
I STAYED AT THE DOUBLETREE HOTEL DURING THE PERIOD OF MY SONS WEDDING THAT WAS HELD AT MANSION FORSYTH. SEVERAL OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS WERE THERE ALSO. WE ALL WERE SO IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE FRIENDLY STAFF THERE. WE ARE PLANNING TO STAY THERE AGAIN ON OUR NEXT. I WOULD DEFINITELY LIKE TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO THE GENTLEMEN VALETS. THEY WERE SO HELPFUL IN PROVIDING US WITH SO MUCH INFOMATION ON HISTORY THAT BLACKS CONTIBUTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY (SAAVANNAH).
