Starting December 14, 2009, check-in will be at the ResortQuest Steamboat Snow Flower Condominiums located at 2200 Apres Ski Way; Steamboat Springs, CO 80487. The front desk will be open from 8:30 AM - 7 PM daily. Lock boxes will available for late check-ins.

What to expect: ResortQuest Meadows Eagle Ridge buildings are perched atop a bluff overlooking a rolling meadow adjacent to Burgess Creek. Copper roofs lend a Mediterranean air to the trio of three-story buildings, all connected by landscaped walkways. The property caters to upscale vacationers, especially families, who expect high-quality service and surroundings.

Amenity highlights: In winter, a complimentary, on-call shuttle ferries guests to and from the slopes, 3 blocks from the hotel, or to and from downtown Steamboat Springs, 3 miles west of the village. Other resort amenities include private ski lockers, heated underground parking, elevators, an outdoor pool and spa, barbecue grills, concierge services, and daily housekeeping. Each condo features complimentary high-speed Internet access.

Insider tip: Mt. Werner, the ski mountain, and Steamboat Village, which lies at its base, are 3 miles east of downtown Steamboat Springs. Steamboat offers a variety of activities including shopping, dining, fly-fishing, hiking, and skiing at the historical Howelson Hill, said to be Colorado's oldest ski area in continuous use. Steamboat Springs Transit operates a free city bus with service to downtown from the ski area.

Hotel guests have access to the outdoor heated pool and spa located on the property, which is adjacent to Burgess Creek.

Winter activities include downhill and cross-country skiing, night-time ski jumping and snow tubing, snowmobile tours, ice climbing, sleigh rides, dogsledding, snowshoeing, ice fishing, bi-plane rides and glider rides, and mineral hot baths.

Summer options include four area golf courses, hiking, rock climbing, tennis, four-wheel drive tours, photography tours, hot-air balloon rides, fishing, miniature golf, horseback riding, kayaking, biking, river rafting, llama treks, gondola rides, guided nature walks, mineral hot baths, and cattle drives.

The hotel is three blocks from the ski village gondola at the base of 10,568-foot Mt. Werner. The resort has a 3,668-foot vertical drop and 2,939 skiable acres with 142 trails: 13 percent beginner, 56 percent intermediate, and 31 percent advanced. They are accessible by 25 lifts, including a gondola and four high-speed quads.

The average snowfall in Steamboat Springs is 337 inches. An average of 95 inches of champagne powder falls in January, thanks to the resort’s location on the windward side of the Park Range, right before the Continental Divide.
