Villas de Santa Fe
This was about the 6th or 7th time Ive stayed at the Villas over the years. The facility was sold about two years ago and, frankly, right after the sale, I was disappointed at some of the changes in policies. However, Im happy to report that there is now a marked improvement both in the physical complex and some of the services provided to guests. Im also happy to see the same manager on site for a couple of years now, after somewhat of a "revolving door" in previous years. Id highly recommend staying here.

Nice, but cheaply built . Sound transmission issues.
A good location at an economical price. An easy walk to the downtown plaza area. The rooms are nicely equipped and well maintained. However, the building is cheaply built. When the heat comes on, the duct noise sounds like someone is taking a shower on the other side of the wall. The walls are very thin, so hope for quiet neighbors. If they place you in the unit right next to the entrance door to the building, you will hear everyone who comes and goes. Unit #2021 feels like a basement because although it has full size windows, its location is behind a retaining wall so all you can see is a sliver of the sky.
Eat on the patio at the Atomic Grill. Visit the Bandolier National Monument in the afternoon when the sun is shining on the cliff dwellings. Take a side trip to Taos and make the return trip to Santa Fe via the High Road - very scenic.

Great Value for the $ in Santa Fe
This condo was a great value for the cost. Convenient to the Plaza (5-6 short blocks). Clean and very comfortable. Great shower head. Didnt really use this time, but had a kitchen to be able to prepare some of your own meals if you like. Well maintained, safe, pretty little place to stay.
The October weather was absolutely perfect! About 70 during the day and comfortable well into the evening. Some very good restaurants in Santa Fe. Just a few we tried and enjoyed: Cafe Pasquals, Geronimo, The Shed, Osteria, Harrys Roadhouse, Gabriels (north on the way to Taos), Grahams Grill in Taos. The lounge at the Inn at Loretto very nice.
