It’s a hotel for the night
The location of the hotel was good. Many places to eat and get fuel nearby. For one night’s sleep, it was acceptable, but I would not recommend an extended stay at this hotel.
Traveler's tip
This was at exit SC 164 off of I-95. There are other hotels and eating places as well as a medium sized mall off of I-95 at exit 160 (Business I-20).

Desk clerk could be friendlier
The motel in Florence was adequate. The only unpleasantness was being informed that the pet fee was $10 instead of the $6 fee which was quoted on my itinerary from Expedia. The desk clerk said she didn’t know why Expedia quoted the $6 pet fee because it has always been $10. She was not very pleasant and having been a desk clerk once, friendliness makes a big impression.
