worst experience will never go back

the hotel looks great from the outside, however I sink was clogged, the alarm in the room next to us went off at 4:30 in the morning and there was no one in that room, no one at the desk to turn in off, my kids were up till it stopped at 6:40 in the mornings and then we had to check out by 11:00, I left a message to hotel management and they obviously didnt care because I never recieved and apology, the beds were hard as a rock and need an update.........

Great find in Keystone

Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. I don’t know what the bad reviewers were expecting, but the Arapahoe Inn was a great value for the money, with a fantastic location right in the heart of Keystone! My room was simply appointed (as you would expect for the price), but very clean with a comfortable bed. The refrigerator and microwave were nice bonuses. The manager, Tom, was friendly. If you feel the need to be pampered, then pay for it and go to the resort where rooms cost at least twice as much. If you want a clean comfortable room in which to lay your head at night, stay at the Arapahoe Inn.

Affordable, convenient, and clean lodging in Keystone

For my business/pleasure trip to Keystone I needed a comfortable place to sleep. There are many fancy lodges/condos in the area with rates double or more what you will pay at the Arapahoe Inn. The hotel was very clean, staff was nice and helpful, refrigerator in the room, free wifi, and a comfortable bed. This is not a fancy hotel, but it is a terrific value.

Similar to a dormitory

Although the lobby has a nice fireplace, there is somewhat of a musty smell as you enter the hotel. There is no elevator to get bags to the second level. The do not provide enough towels or wash cloths and the towels are very small. The mattresses are possibly the worst I have ever slept on, and the sheets do not stay on the mattress as you sleep on it. Our 3 children slept on a pullout bed and a cot with horrible mattresses also. There was one toilet with the room which became backed up and broke by the end of our 4 day stay, and the manager blamed us for it instead of apologizing for the inconvenience. Luckily we were leaving the next morning. The breakfast they provided was nothing special--and it was really hard to bring coffee or even the juice and bagel or waffle back to the room. No coffee pot in the room, and the microwave in the room did not work. I was really hoping for something a little closer to a European small hotel. All in all, I would say that a rating of a 2 star hotel is even being a bit generous.

!!!Terrible Customer Service!!!

When we arrived to ck-in,I waited almost 10min for someone to come to reception desk.When employee"w/glasses"arrived,I was greeted rudely-that should of been our 1st indication to leave!After dinner we went to jacuzzi for last hr it was open,when employee"w/glasses"came at 10p to let us know he was leaving for night so jacuzzi was closed(no one at desk til morn),we asked for towels he replied"i dont carry towels on me"we laughed bc thought he was joking*he wasnt.We asked if some could be sent to our rm so we could shower(only2towels were provided-none in spa area)he said"the maids can get u some tomorrow".As I walked to see if the hotel had guests dryers for our swimsuits/towels,I saw the employee and tried to ask him-he answered "we dont do guests laundry"(which wasnt what i was asking).I then see a sign on"laundry"rm door that towels are on first come first serve basis.Heater didnt seem to work well,too hot(sweating)or too cold throughout the night.Next morning,we looked for the customer svc form(none)we see another employee(owner or hotel mgr?)we tell him of our experiences only to get"my employee acted correctly in all those situations"we tried to explain he was unnecessarily rude to each of us he then said"i will talk to him".You could tell he didnt want to hear any of it.ALL of those situtations wouldve been totally diff if the attitude had been more professional from them;but we will NEVER go back or recommend this hotel.

Great for the price

The room was really great for what we paid during a peak weekend. The staff was great at getting anything we needed. The hotel is also in a good location and close to the ski resort.

A Great Stay

My brother and I stayed at the Arapahoe for four nights- service was good; Tom, the front desk staff was friendly, and you can’t beat the price for the location and amenities. Five minute walk to Peru Lift, great breakfast w/ coffee, juice, bagels, waffles. Room was clean and had a microwave and fridge. Walking distance to restaurants. I would definitely stay there again!

Rent equipment in town, and eat at the Mexican restaurant in the shopping plaza next door- great food!

Very pleased

Was nervous when I saw the bad reviews. Everything was perfect. No problems with employess or anyone. Maybe I just didn’t give them a reason?!

Good safe place to stay

clean safe place nothing special but we were here to ski not hang out in a hotel. The juice and coffee was handy in the lobby in the morning

If you are in the military do not forget to ask for a discount it is good for ski lift and lots of stuff you might buy or rent

OK for rate

Nice location. Hot tub was not working closed for maintainence they were painting the tub. Bedding had some stains on it. Microwave in room did not work.

Mediocre

Being that this hotel was pretty close to Keystone and resonably priced, it wasn’t too bad. However, they seriously need to check out the condition of their furniture in the rooms because I noticed that the chair I sat in while on my laptop was in pretty poor shape.

Pleasantly surprised for the price point during Christmas/New Year week. Centrally located.

We stayed at one of the busiest times of year and at a very affordable price. Was not happy with late check-in and early check-out, but can’t complain too much at the price we paid.

Okay

This was an affordable hotel. Its across the highway from Keystone, not to far of a walk. The front desk person was not friendly once so ever but it was still a good deal.

Araphhoe Inn/Service

We go there before check in (1pm)-- asked if we could change to go on skiing--answer, NO-- nxt, can they hold our bags until ck in.. NO---towels were ancient, as were mattresses and pillow and lines...so no sleep--nxt morning ask for late check out so could run family to slopes and come back and shower/load bags.. NO---then watched front desk check in a college kid at 11 am---deserve to go under/get new management.

better off staying in Dillon at Super 8 if can’t check in to your condo in River Run- which is awesome by the way.....

hotel was alright

my husband and I went here in Dec. and it snowed alot and they made no effort to clear the driveway.the hot tub was nice when it worked and the sauna didn’t work at all.The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice.

Nice place, No room service

I stayed for 4 nights but my room was cleaned only once. Overall hotel is simple but nice. As far as there are only a few visitors during the summer the hotel was virtually empty. Most of the time it was nobody at the reception. But on the other hand, if found, the hotel manager was nice and helpful. The location is great, you can enjoy beautiful views from your window. So, I have mixed feelings about this place.

Fun Place

We enjoyed staying here. The mgmt was very amenable and helpful. Nice Continental breakfast included.

Budget and ski’ers/snowboarders

This hotel is a great place to setup a base to go snowboarding or skiing, i went with 5 friends and we loved the place. The ski lifts were 5-6minutes walk away and we didnt have to drive around anywhere. If you plan to go to keystone to snowboard and ski and are on a budget you’ll enjoy this hotel. On the otherhand if you plan to spend most of your time in your hotel this is not the place for you. It is an average hotel that is only ment as a place to sleep/shower and store your clothes.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

if you have a rental car, go into dillon and buy grocerys for your room its cheaper than going out to eat. also if u need to rent ski/snowboard also go into town to rent it is much cheaper and will save you money. also keystone has night skiing almost every nite, so when you pay for a lift ticket its all day and night long.

Close to sking and shuttle bus

We had a wonderful view of the Keystone ski runs and the Saturday night fireworks. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. I enjoyed the hot tub also.

Alway read reviews first

If you want to save money, and still enjoy your stay this is not for you. I’m not picky, but no front desk staff after 10 PM. No heat at night, in room phone not working, no towles and house keeping- should I say non-existent. Do your self a favor and look elsewhere

Decent room, great location, horrible bed

The title pretty much says it all. Not a fancy place but nice and clean and in a great location just a few minutes from the lifts. The bed however was probably the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. A sleeping bag on the floor would have been better.

Not the best- But it’ll work!

The hotel is in serious need of an update but it works. It’s close to the mountains and some good places to get some drinks and food.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

-Hotel check-in in really late 4pm and check-out is early @ 10am -Make sure you bring your own shampoo and hair dyer -It’s relatively cheap and it’s location to the mountains and local resturant’s are great.

Loved Keystone, not the Inn

Uncomfortable beds, understaffed, jacuzzi was green and sandy with odor, no lobby bathroom. Good place for skiers because it’s only 400 yds from slopes at Keystone just needs to get some key improvements.

Towel

I booked this hotel 4 poeple. But they supply only two towels every day. At last day, hotel was booked out, they did not have enough towel to give us due to laziness or less man power to run the hotel. One manager was very kind but the other one was really bad.

Cold shower!!!!!!

After a day of skiing in extremely cold temps, a hot shower would have been nice. There wasn’t any hot water.
