Wonderful Vacation
I was very impressed with the hotel staff. They were courteous and always working. The hotel restaurant staff was always helpful and the hotel was very clean.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Definitely take a stroll on the sidewalk along the Atlantic Coast. A bit breezy but wonderfully breathtaking. It’s just a little walk down to Boca de Inferno - a definite tourist attraction and amazing photo op of the waves and erosioin. Also, there is a nice grocery store across the street from the hotel if you are looking for snacks.

Great location in Cascais
The location is great!! We did not want to stay in Lisbon because we wanted to be near the ocean. Cascais is the place to stay!! It is a little town 30 minutes outside of Lisbon - a cheap train ride. Pestana Cascais is a wonderful hotel with a very helpful staff. I enjoyed my evenings sitting at the bar and hanging with the friendly staff and patrons of the hotel. There was a little gym with a TV in it. There was also a nice size pool that connected to both the indoor and outdoor area so you can go swimming whatever the weather may be. There was also a jacuzzi in the indoor part of the pool. The view from my room was amazing since the hotel is located directly across the street from the ocean. I highly recommend this hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Not knowing much about Portugal I took a chance staying right outside of Lisbon and glad I did. I did not want to be near the hustle and bustle of city life. Yet, I took 2-3 day trips into Lisbon just to check the area out. Cascais is a great place to stay. Downtown Cascais is adorable. It has many wonderful places to eat and great bakery’s. It’s a small community so don’t let the word "downtown" fool you. About 20 min outside of Cascais is a must see mountain town called Sintra.

It is 20 miles away from downtown Lisbon in a nice small town, very nice room setup for the price.
