Nice area and location but dirty
We were disapointed with this hotel. The location is wonderful in the hills outside of Florence. This would be a beautiful place to stay in the summer, especially to relax. Fiesole is a great town and Florence is very close, especially if you are traveling with a vehicle. The staff was nice and helpful. Our disapointment started with the room and cleanliness. When we first arrived there was a dirty towel still in our bathroom. The minibar/fridge was very dirty, almost moldy. Also, the breakfast could have used a little more variety. This was also the only hotel (of 6) that charged us a fee for an infant bed.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you are willing to drive around the city a little you can usually find free street parking in Florence. There are plenty of garages, but they usually charge by the hour.

Dirt under the bed and bug bites.
The dirt under the bed looked like it was not cleaned for a very long time. Two travellers in separate rooms complained of bites after we left.

The new hotel is located in a beautiful Tuscan garden, about 20 minutes walk from the city centre of Fiesole. You have everything - beautiful view, swiming pool, nice restaurants in Fiesole. The culture and history already in this small town are everywhere, and Florence is only 20 minutes by bus.

Fantastic view to Florence from the city centre of Fiesole. Fiesole itself is a discovery, too. Visit the Dome, museums and Franciscan and Dominican churches and cloisters and enjoy food in local restaurants.
